On Friday, Dec. 19, the Utica community came together for a Day of Unity and Achievement across all 13 schools. The celebration recognized student achievement, including strong results on the 2025 NY State assessments. Students enjoyed hands-on activities like gingerbread-themed bouncy houses, arts and crafts and block building. These engaging experiences were designed to stimulate young minds while fostering joy and community. Dr. Spence visited several buildings to see a day in the life of students, while teachers continued delivering engaging lessons and acknowledging their hard work. Local officials and other community members also joined in on the celebration.
