Italian and French Students Visit Nazareth University

This month over 30 Italian and French language students went to Nazareth University to enjoy an Italian and French Cultural Day.  The Italian students of Mr. Nicholas-Hahn (Dept. Chair) and Mrs. Sampson, along with the French students of Ms. Ethier, were all graciously welcomed to the Frank DiMino Casa Italiana by Dr. Maria Rosaria Vitti-Alexander, Dr. Joëlle Carota and Dr. Mireille LeBreton.  Students were delighted with singing, dancing, and even learned to dance with the Akragas Folk Group from Agrigento, Sicilia.  Afterwards, students went outside to play some bocce in authentic Italian bocce courts.  Italian students learned to make homemade gnocchi (more than 30 lbs. of it), while the French students learned how to make crêpes (au chocolat avec Nutella).  All students came together to enjoy all the foods that were created by hand.  We made sure to take pictures before we left to remember this beautiful day, all the fun we had and new friendships that were made.  We look forward to our next visit in 2027!
